29 May How to Make a Smoothie with Frozen Fruits
For some time to this part the cafes of all cities have been filled with a drink that has made a place in our snacks. We are talking about the “smoothie”, the frozen shake made with fruit. That concept of freezing makes fruits like açaí, commonly marketed frozen, the perfect element to make this type of shakes.
Making a frozen fruit smoothie is easier than it may seem. To get you to do it optimally we will give you a series of tricks to make a smoothie with frozen fruits that will quench the thirst on hot summer afternoons.
5 tricks to make a smoothie
1. Use always frozen fruit
No matter what kind of fruit it is, açai, pitaya, banana, kiwi… The basics is to be frozen. Just use the same type of product that you would take naturally. There is a habit of freezing past-date fruit by giving it a “second chance”. From the weather or frozen, the fruit should stay in an optimal condition. Otherwise, you’ll end up noticing it in the taste of your fruit smoothie.
2. Mix fruit with sense
There must be some order when combining the different types of fruits. Doing it “headless”, making a mix of everything you have in the fridge can turn your smoothie into a real nightmare. The best: few products but well selected.
3. Be bold
Politeness doesn’t take away the daring. Not by carefully combining our different portions of fruit we will stop looking for new flavours in our smoothies. Sometimes a touch of greens can incredibly enhance the flavour of our creation.
4. Almond milk
A basic to succeed in snacks. Once you try a smoothie with this type of milk, you can hardly get rid of it when making new combinations.
5. Find the perfect point
And certainly the most important: the point of the smoothie. We are not looking for a porridge. We are looking for an ice-cold smoothie, very cold, but still drinkable at all times. Likewise we do not want an extremely liquid juice. Play with the milk until you find the perfect point for your smoothie.
But if you are looking for a smoothie with a thicker texture than a milkshake, to eat with a spoon, so what you want is a smoothie bowl. In our web we show you several smoothie bowl recipes to enjoy in any time of the day. See recipes >
